It's out

Got my clerage out today, the worst thing was just like the doc said the speculum, it hurt like a bitch, and just think that is outer va jay jay being stretched, my cervix is dilated to 2 cm, doc was saying he will be surprised if I make it to appt next week, I am hoping I am like what I have been reading on internet I will stay at 2 cm for a couple more weeks until at least induction date, at least cervix is favorable for a induction. Just been having some cramping like he said, but all the pressure I had been feeling down there was like a big release when the stitch came out, happy it came out I read today that someones clerage tore in a weird place cause of her dilation.

Baby Shower

Had my baby shower on Saturday, it was fun, had some coworkers, high school friends, college friends, and of course family. Got alot of gift cards, mostly everyone gave me storage bins that were filled with onesies, bibs, outfits, or they were filled with diapers, wipes, and bath stuff, then cards with gift cards in it, my boss made me this beautiful basket filled with washclothes, a piggy bank, and little toys, my work team was very generous with the gift card they gave me, lets just say I am able to buy the pump I want with it. I did not eat any of the food because my aversion is chicken on the bone, we had jerk wings, meatballs, fruit and veggie platter, cheese plate, spinach dip, and I couldn't bring myself to eat the meatballs cause I was afraid if the texture was too mushy I would throw up, we didn't really play any games it was more mingling and talking there was a onesies and bib decorating station setup, punch and wine, I haven't gone through the decorated onesies and bibs to see what people have done. I was hoping to be able to go shopping today, but I was so sore from bending from opening all the bins and pulling stuff out, but just as well gives me some time to list out what it is I want to buy, I know my pump, then my bathtub, and I want a diaper genie. Contemplating if I should take back a swing I got, my mom had bought me one too, and I did not erase off registry in time. I was so busy running my mouth the picture of my cake is the only one I took with my camera, my college friend came down and stayed with my sister in law, I asked my brother to get her camera and get her pictures for me so we shall see if he did get it done or not, otherwise waiting for her I will never see those pictures.

The place we had my baby shower was at Java Vino it is a wine and coffee house, it is located in little five points, we rented the upstairs space it was cute, I would rent it out to have another shower of some kind, the only thing different I would do is pay the fee to be able to bring in outside food, there catering menu was very limited, and on the website the cater they use says you can asks for things that are not on the menu we tried that she said no she couldn't do that to all of our suggestions. The punch they made out of this tea was so good.

Friday check in

No more cervix checks yeah, at least at my peri appointments, they said at this point the cervix starts to shorten, and if I was to go into labor they would not do anything to stop it. I think I will probally have one more cervix check at my regular ob visit he said he does not consider me off bedrest till 34 weeks. Still trying to get the crib setup, I have had this crib since Jan. last month it was finally moved from the garage to the bedroom, today it was finally taken out of the box. At least my mom bought me a moses basket, I ordered the stand for it last week so that will be used next to the bed. The crib will be used for during the day for naps. The babys estimated weight is 4 lbs 11 oz. so she is getting big she is in the 60th percentile, doc says right now need to keep blood sugars in control if I want to make it to delivering at 38 weeks.

Friday Update

Today appt no change in cervix is still the same. Last night I could not remember if I took my Blood pressure meds, so I took one, I guess I did take one earlier, all the sudden I got hot dizzy and just threw up over the side of the bed. Husband just standing there like a deer caught in headlights he goes to get me a towel to clean up a mess, I am like can you call the doctor and let them know I think I took too much BP med, so he called the on call doc, he was no help to her he could not remember the name of the medicine I take, I have told him several times this is info he should no what if I pass out or something, so he gives me the phone, she said it sounds like your talking okay so your not short of breath, just sounds like your blood volumes are really low, drink 4 to 5 large glasses of any liquid without caffeine if you do not feel better 10 to 15 minutes after drinking it then head to the hospital, so husband goes to get me several bottles of water out of kitchen and I see he also took the time to get him a Pepsi, I just thought to myself what the hell, I could be dying and you feel the need to make sure you had something to drink, after I drank the water felt much better just spent the rest of the night peeing every 10 to 15 minutes.

appt day

Had my weekly appointments today, they did another ffn test at high risk doctor, it came back positive, but doc said they aren't concerned cervix came back longer at 1.8, no real contractions I just go back in a week. regular ob appt uneventful

ob/gyn

Had a regular ob/gyn appt on fri, they just hooked me up to the fetal monitor machine, no contractions, was happy I did not have to be poked and prodded that appointment. My husband wanted to know why they did not check cervix I told him its because they just did it on mon he was like this is a different office I told him they share info. Doc said he is looking at inducing at 37 or 38 weeks. So it looks like I will have a taurus.

My mom purchased a graco infant seat and a maxi cosi convertabile car seat. We are hoping to get a bugaboo on this sale site she shops on they hold private sales for three days, and then a new sale starts she got the maxi cosi at 40% off. If anyone would like a invite send me your email. Of course there is something in it for me, when you make your first purchase I get a 10.00 credit, but clothes are on sale anywhere from 20% to 70% off the clothes you see in those expensive boutiques, and then of course baby gear like I said before maxi cosi, graco, and they just had a uppa stroller sale, but I have my heart set on getting a bugaboo. Its geared to mothers, babys, and children so again leave a email if you would like a invite.

Follow up Peri Appt

Had peri appointment to do the F test, it came back negative, cervix is alot shorter at 1.2 now but since cervix is still hard and closed and it is not shortened near the stitch she said I can continue to do bedrest at home. The bad news of the day is now I am on insulin sugars were fine you could tell they are creeping up, doc said since I am on bedrest and cannot do any excercise I will need to be on insulin at some point in this pregnancy, so best to start it now, and not when sugars are out of control.

Next milestone lets hope I make it to 28 weeks.
